Ms Emmie Vanhooren

Emmie is a midwife since 2013, passionate about healthcare throughout the world. She worked in Uganda for one year and completed the course in ‘Tropical Medicine for Bachelors in Nursing and midwifery’ at the ITM in Antwerp in 2017. Meanwhile she gained some experience as a nurse on a surgical ward performing night duties. She also worked as a temporary midwife in the region Ghent. In September 2019 she started as a study nurse at the Ghent University Hospital Women’s Clinic. Emmie will split her time as a study nurse between studies at the Women’s Clinic and studies at the ICRH.
