Gender sensitive primary care in Flanders

Gender sensitive primary care in Flanders

A new webpage will give information on how to provide gender inclusive health care and both general and specific health care aspects regarding LGBTQI+ persons.

Commissioned by the Institute for the Equality of Women and Men, Domus Medica, in collaboration with ICRH Ghent, çavaria and the Transgender Info Point at the Ghent University Hospital, wants to support general practitioners in Flanders to provide gender sensitive health care. In order to realize this, the working group will develop a central webpage and a case-based training.

The webpage will give information on how to provide gender inclusive health care and both general and specific health care aspects regarding LGBTQI+ persons. Within the training sessions, a small group of general practitioners will discuss several topics based on real life cases. For more information on this project contact Anke.Vandenberghe@UGent.be.
