Syphilis guidelines
OBJECTIVES
To revise a draft WHO document that was written as a programme guide, focusing on strategies and programme components.
METHODS
This document was reorganised and expanded, a more technical component was added as well references.
RESULTS
Important additions and modifications were included : explicitly indicated levels of evidence, references for epidemiological rationale as well as technical recommendations, harmonisation of the programme component with current recommendations in this area such as antenatal care and HIV Standard statement
