Ms Laurence Hendrickx

Trained as veterinarian, Laurence embarked on a career in development cooperation in Southern Africa, where she worked for the Flemish government, the United Nations, and for 5 years in Mozambique in a Ghent University-coordinated interdisciplinary Inter-University Development Cooperation Programme on sexual and reproductive health and rights. After her 23 year-long stay abroad, Laurence returned to Ghent in 2017 and joined Ghent University again, working in the central administration on the development of the policy plan for internationalisation. 

Since January 2021, she is providing assistance to the Department of Public Health and Primary Care on the development, implementation and follow-up of departmental strategies and action plans, mainly regarding societal outreach and research.
