Ms Birgit Kerstens
Researcher

Birgit Kerstens is an old acquaintance for ICRH Belgium, because she passed here several times since 2007 as a consultant for research applications and in 2011-2013 as project administrator of the FP7 project MOMI. She likes to work in an international context and she prefers a hands-on approach and 'things (or projects) that move forward'.
Birgit will be the project manager of the new HIGH Horizons research project, or in full: Heat Indicators for Global Health (HIGH Horizons): monitoring, Early Warning Systems and health facility
interventions for pregnant and postpartum women, infants and young children and health workers. The project is funded by Horizon Europe, is carried out by 10 partners in Europe and Africa and runs for four years.
