Ms Xiaojuan Zhang

I graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Medicine in 2022. Afterward, I pursued my Master's and PhD degrees at the School of Public Health, Sun Yat-sen University, focusing on medical statistics and epidemiology. My Master's and PhD research focus on the impact of childhood maltreatment on the bipolar transition of patients with depression. In my research within the Chinese population, I have found that emotional and sexual abuse can lead to bipolar transition in patients with depression, with regular exercise playing a moderating role in buffering the negative effects of childhood maltreatment.
