On 8 November 2016, Professor dr. Marleen Temmerman received the EDCTP Award for Outstanding Female Scientist 2016.
The award ceremony took place at the Eighth European and Developing Countries Clinical Trials Partnership (EDCTP) Forum in Lusaka, Zambia, The award was presented by Professor Nkando Luo, the Honourable Minister of Higher Education, Research, Vocational Training, Science and Technology of Zambia.
The Outstanding Female Scientist award recognises an excellent world-class female scientist residing in sub-Saharan Africa and working in research activities within the scope of the second EDCTP programme.
