Ms Anna Galle
Anna Galle is a midwife with a Master Degree in Health Promotion and postgraduate certificate in Conflict and Diplomacy. She worked as a midwife and health coordinator in Rwanda, Mali , Guatemala, Central African Republic and Mozambique and has experience in training of health care providers and traditional birth attendants. Currenlty Anna is doing a PhD on the role of men during pregnancy and childbirth in Mozambique. She has experience with both qualitative and quantitative research as well as arts based research.

Evidence suggests that many women experience mistreatment during childbirth in health facilities by health care providers across the world, but the magnitude of the problem is unknown. The occurrence of disrespect and abuse in maternity care services affects the overall quality of care and may undermine women’s trust in the health system.
