Ms Emilie Peeters
Emilie Peeters is Policy Officer within ICRH Belgium and for the ANSER network
Emilie studied political sciences and became passioned about sexual and reproductive health and the importance of it in the fight against inequality. She started her career as a parliamentary assistant of Prof. Marleen Temmerman. Afterwards she worked for different international NGO’s, where she mostly worked around trying to convince policy makers of the importance of investing in sexual and reproductive health.
Emilie started working on the 16th of October as the new ICRH Policy Officer, aiming at strengthening the connection with politics and policies by working within ANSER and by extending the role of ICRH as WHO collaborating centre. She will also be representing ICRH in different external networks.

Academic network for sexual and reproductive health and rights policy (ANSER)
Ghent University established an Academic Network for Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights Policy that aims to become a global resource for SRHR policy research, education and service delivery by establishing an international platform for research on SRHR policy related topics; by developing a portfolio of education and training programmes on SRHR policy; and by fostering interaction between SRHR researchers and policy makers.
