Adolescente gezinsplanning: Beleidstracering voor seksuele en reproductieve gezondheid en rechten

Anticonceptie voor adolescenten is essentieel om de moedersterfte, die bijzonder hoog is in Sub-Sahara Afrika, te verminderen. Goede bewijzen en rationele argumenten voor het verlenen van contraceptieve diensten aan adolescenten vertalen zich echter vaak niet in nationale wetten en beleidsmaatregelen die het aanbieden en gebruiken van anticonceptie ondersteunen.

The Global Early Adolescent Study – Een wereldwijd onderzoek naar hoe gendernormen evolueren en een spectrum van gezondheidsresultaten in adolescentie vormen.

De Global Early Adolescent Study (GEAS) is gericht op het begrijpen van de factoren in de vroege adolescentie die jongeren vatbaar maken voor latere seksuele gezondheidsrisico's en die omgekeerd bijdragen aan gezonde seksualiteit, zodat de nodige informatie kan verschaft worden om de seksuele en reproductieve gezondheidsresultaten te verbeteren.

Mitigating adverse sexual and reproductive health outcomes through a comprehensive primary school sexuality education program in South-Western Uganda

Uganda’s adolescents experience unfavourable sexual and reproductive health (SRH) outcomes. Young people (10-24 years) constitute over 33.5% of Uganda’s population, with about 47% below the age of 15. Nevertheless, this age group carries the highest disease burden, particularly in the SRH area.

CERCA, Community-embedded reproductive health care for adolescents in Latin America

CERCA aims to contribute to the global knowledge about how health systems could be more responsive to the sexual and reproductive health needs of adolescents and by extension to the other health needs of the community. A community based participatory action research method will be applied. The consortium will develop and test a model of community-embedded interventions. The research is conducted in Bolivia, Ecuador and Nicaragua.

Frame of Reference in SGBV Prevention Against and Among Young Refugees, Asylum Seekers and Unaccompanied Minors in the European Reception & Asylum Sector (SENPERFORTO)

Applying a Community Based Participatory Research Approach, Senperforto aims to enhance the prevention of sexual and gender-based violence (SGBV) in the European Reception and Asylum sector by the development of a European Frame of Reference for Prevention of SGBV in this sector. In 2010 we first conducted a Knowledge, Attitude and Practice (KAP) Survey on SGBV experience, prevention and response among both professionals and young asylum seeking residents in different reception facilities in each of the 8 partner countries.
