Roundtable led by Prof. Marie-Bénédicte Dembour (Ghent University) on Monday 26 June 2022 Addressed questions include: - What is a stereotype? - How do stereotypes affect the establishment of facts, especially in human rights adjudication related to gender discrimination and asylum? - In this regard, how can one explain the starkly different approaches adopted by the UN Committee for the Elimination of Discrimination against Women and the European Court of Human Rights?
